I am working for the Instrumentation and Controls division of AREVA Nuclear Power. It is quite the opportunity to get to work in a French office in the heart of La Defense, Paris. My French is improving, and I get the chance to be involved in a company that is playing a big role in the energy industry. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this internship is that I am working in a French office in conjunction with a German branch of the company on a contract for Chinese clients. During the course of a normal day I hear French, English, German, and Mandarin!

Working nowadays as an engineer is almost impossible without having any international experience. With this in mind, I chose Georgia Tech, as one of the most famous engineering universities in the world. Taking a double degree program at Georgia Tech broadens your mind and enhances your creativity in a way you couldn’t possibly imagine before doing it.

Peter RENNER

At my last internship I had to call manufacturers all over France and Europe and was often obligated to speak in French. I quickly improved my French, learned valuable communication skills
, and obtained an understanding of international business exchange. Aside from the work, I have learned so much about other cultures that I would be otherwise blind to in the United States. I am intrigued how we are all the same and different at the same time. Understanding how others view the US helped me to put it into perspective with the rest of the world.

Amount of opportunities to kick-off the career one is offered at GTL is quite impressive. As an ME student here closing out on my graduation with just one semester left to go I was extremely interested in finding a challenging internship which would help me fulfill my job-seeking goals as a future young graduate and my professional ambitions later on.

My passion for aeronautics has grown over a long period of time. During my first two years at ENSTA Bretagne, I was looking for a double degree giving me the opportunity of studying Aerospace Engineering while discovering a new culture. Georgia Tech as a top school of Aerospace Engineering in such an amazing country was an obvious choice.

Yingjie ZHANG

"The school is ranked 37 in the US. In Europe, it shared campus with SUPELECT in Metz (and other top level Engineering schools), a nice city to live for a semester and kind teachers and assistants to be with.
This experience in Atlanta broadened my view, especially on career choice or career possibility, I would say.
Major in EE doesn't mean you need to be an engineer in the lab or dealing only with codes. If you have good communication skill, you can try out a lot of other career paths."

Jerome VASSEUR

Tracy TURFAIT

"I chose Georgia Tech because the Mechanical Engineering Masters program was very highly ranked in the nation. After visiting 4 different "top 10" schools, I chose GA Tech because I liked the location, the research, and it gave me the opportunity to study abroad. I had always wanted to study internationally but could never afford to, the GTL program gave me the opportunity to complete my masters while studying abroad.

Guillaume TELLIER

Philippe SUCOSKY

I was in my second year at ENSAM (Aix-en-Provence) when I was notified of the opportunity of completing a Master’s degree at Georgia Tech. Getting some experience abroad in a prestigious University was my first motivation to enroll in the program.
